Benefits

Small Business Association, Inc. is a Florida small business advocacy.  We are a network of Florida small business owners whose aim is to influence the policy making decisions of the Legislative and Executive branches of the State of Florida and to obtain benefits for the small business equal to those enjoyed by large business; AND, to make group benefits available to even the smallest organization.

Pro-active environment

SBA works at the Florida State and at the County and Municipal levels to promote a proactivesmall business environment. The Association will actively seek to deter the passage of legislation that will be against the interest of the association members, and to repeal any existing legislation that is anti-small business.

Registered lobbyist

A Small Business Association staff member is registered as a lobbyist with the Florida Legislature. Members are encouraged to actively voice their positions through membership wide balloting in frequent Internet surveys. Our members will determine the position the association takes on critical small business issues currently being considered at the state and local level, in conference and in committee meetings. Before an issue becomes law.

Reports on legislators

Small Business Association, Inc. is non-partisan. The association will advise the offices of all major political parties in the state the results of our membership ballots. We will request that candidates of all political parties specifically address our small business issues. The candidates stated positions will be reported to the membership.

Political clout

The Small Business Association members will be in a position to impact the Florida election during the year 2000 elections. In the next major election, Florida voters will be voting on a ballot with no incumbent legislators up for relection in two-thirds of the State of Florida legislative races. The volume of small business votes will decide who will sit in the next Florida legislature, not big business money!

Standing Committee

We will poll the candidates to determine their position on a establishing a "Standing Committee for Small Business" in both Florida.

Internet search of legislative bills

SBA electronically monitors legislative bills through Internet search engines. Members are requested to provide "key words" that might be applicable to their specific types of business.

Tax Relief

State legislative relief for small business, legal reform, and tax matters are issues that the Small Business Association will be addressing in the coming legislative sessions.

Wish list

By definition an Association member will be an organization licensed to do business in the State of Florida. and they will have 100 or fewer employees. All applications, dues and fees, membership business matters, group benefits, group meeting arrangements, chat groups and all other Association matters will be conducted on http://www.sbaflorida.com.

Internet Service Provider

An Internet Service Provider, www.sbaflorida.net is under construction. When completed the ISP will be available to Small Business Association members at a nominal monthly rate. Reduced pricing on home pages and advertising will be made available to the membership. Large business vendors doing business with members will be permitted to advertise on the association pages. Non-Member vendor access will be limited to their advertising pages.
