Small Business
Association, Inc.

|
An association of Florida small businesses. Membership is limited to a Florida business with 100 or fewer employees. Access to the association web pages will require that registered members input a User ID and password. Large business and government organizations will not be permitted beyond the introductory pages. The association works for the members at the Florida State Legislative level. We are promoting a pro-active small business environment in the state legislature. SBAFlorida has no national agenda. The Small Business Association members will be in a position to exert a tremendous impact on the outcome of the Florida election returns during the year 2000 elections. In our next major Florida election, voters will be faced with a ballot with no incumbents in two-thirds of the State of Florida legislative races. Small business makes up 93% of the business entities in the state. The sheer volume of small business votes could easily decide who will sit in the next Florida legislature, not big business money! We will poll the candidates so as to determine their position on a "Standing Committee for Small Business" in both Florida houses. An Internet Service Provider, www.sbaflorida.net is under construction. When established, the association's ISP will be available to members at a nominal monthly rate. Home pages, email, a shopping mall for members products, on-net advertising services, a chat room, access from the field and other services will be available. Obtaining group benefits for association members, such as medical, dental, spectacles, travel discounts are high on the agenda. Most major insurance companies require that we have a substantial (1000+) number of potential enrollees before they will commit to a group benefits plan. Input from members concerning possible affilitions would be greatly appreciated. To join, click here and go to the application page.
Our MissionOur goal is to assist members in any way possible. We want to point start up companies to assistance, keep members posted on legislative events in Florida, survey the membership to find out their requirements and point to possible fullfillment channels, and to provide the membership with the clout big companies have available because of their size.
